, Vocabulary knowledge is mysterious. Knowing a word entails different degrees: the degree of when to experience a word and its associations with other words, its appropriate structure, its pragmatic and metaphorical meanings, it’s connotations, and its limitations with regard to usages. Having stated the impact of vocabulary, learners should understand the implications of what knowing a word means and how to bring these words into play.
The nature of vocabulary in a second or a foreign language entirely differs from that in a first language. The concept of some words are used and remembered more forcefully than others. In other words, learners may limit the use of some words to the context where they first learn these words. For example, the word book may be used repeatedly in a library situation when borrowing a book , conversely, the other meaning of this word "reserve" may not be recalled in another situation, e.g. travel agency
