أقامت مدرسة الإمام ابن رجب الحنبلي الابتدائية ببريدة يومها المفتوح وذلك في يوم الأحد 1432/6/26هـ وقد بدئ هذا اليوم بالإفطار الجماعي للطلاب بمشاركة المعلمين بعد ذلك الألعاب والمسابقات الرياضية ثم توزيع جوائز النشاط والحلقة الصباحية وعرفاء الفصول ، ثم بدأ السوق الشعبي حيث تنوعت أصناف التجارة من مأكولات شعبية وحيوانات أليفة وطيور .
