What does translation mean ? and what is its importance ?
Can anyone translate ?
Does machinery translation equalize human one ?
Does translation have many fields so a translator could specialize or he could translate any text ?
What are the skills that translator should have ?
Translation is the equivalence translation from the source language into the target language and its importance appear when there is no other way to communicate with other nations .
Translation is a deep sea needs a lot of skills in order to dive in it . Also , it is an invisible art .
Translation when it is said , many people may think that it is the easiest field because as long as you speak a language then you could translate , but they are almost wrong . There are some fields could be translated if you know the vocabularies such as Millitary , Engeneering and Medical translations because they need to be translated literally . In addition , machinery translation could do so either these in the internet or that electronic devices but what about joining sentences ! when a word has a variety of meanings which one would you choose ?! Human translation is much better machinery one because who invented it is the human being .
Translation is a very wide world which contains many fields and each field needs special skills . In addition to what I have mentioned , there is a bilingual translation which is translating between tow people at the same time . Also , there is the consecutive translation where there are stops in the text or speech . The literary translation needs the talent to live the event and mostly to add without changing the meaning . The very difficult translation is the immediate one which require a high level of concentration with a good memory and a quick reaction to choose the suitable word .
Do not forget that you have to be good at your mother tongue because it is the base

الترجمة بحر عميق لابد لمن أراد أن يبحر في أعماقه أن يكون ممتلكا للكثير من المهارات , فهي فن لا يجيده الكثير ممن انتسبوا إليها .
قد يتبادر إلى أذهان الكثيرين حين سماعهم لهذا الاسم بأنها من اسهل المجالات لأنك وبمجرد تعلمك لغة ما فان بإمكانك الترجمة ولكن هذا الاعتقاد خاطئ إلى حد كبير . أي نعم هنالك مجالات يمكن ترجمتها بمجرد معرفة معاني الكلمات مثل الترجمة الهندسية والعسكرية والطبية وغيرها حيث أنها تتطلب الحرفية بشكل كبير وقد يتم ذلك أيضا عن طريق الترجمة الآلية سواء تلك الموجودة في مواقع الإنترنت أو ذلك الترجمان الإلكتروني , ولكن ماذا عن ربط الجمل ببعضها وماذا عن اختيار المصطلحات التي تتناسب مع الموضوع , فكما هو معلوم أن الكثير من الكلمات لها اكثر من معنى . كما أن العقل البشري يفوق أي آلة مهما كانت دقتها لان من اخترع هذه الآلة هو العقل البشري .
الترجمة عالم واسع فيه الكثير من التخصصات ولكل تخصص هنالك مهارات يجب أن يتحلى بها المترجم . فغير تلك التي ذكرنا نورد هنا الترجمة الثنائية والتي تكون بين شخصين والترجمة التتبعية والتي تتم على وقفات والترجمة الأدبية والتي تتطلب توسعا وإسهابا وفي بعض الأحيان تتطلب إضافة من المترجم نفسه بشرط أن لا تخل بالمعنى واصعب التراجم هي الترجمة الفورية والتي تحتاج إلى قوة تركيز وذاكرة وقتيه وسرعة في بديهة في اختيار المصطلحات , إلى غيرها من التخصصات الأخرى .
واهم خاصية لجميع المترجمين في جميع التخصصات هي الإلمام باللغة الأم لأنها هي الأساس .
